Faustin ZAMÉTO conducted three reportages on the first 100 days of the Moloua III government. These reports examine the initial period of the administration led by Prime Minister Félix Moloua. On 15 September 2026, Prime Minister Félix Moloua spoke about the first 100 days of his government. His public remarks addressed the tenure of his administration following the completion of this timeframe. The accounts provided by Faustin ZAMÉTO and the statements from Prime Minister Félix Moloua offer differing perspectives on the current status of the government.
Daily Struggles at Market
At the KM5 market in Bangui, a cuvette of manioc costs 1,500 francs and a sack of rice costs 35,000 francs. Rodrigue, a 24-year-old pousseur, remarked: "100 jours ?
Infrastructure and Transport Costs
Transportation along the 734-kilometer road axis connecting Bangui to Bangassou currently faces significant logistical hurdles. The transit time for goods has shifted, impacting local commerce and supply chains. Maman Pauline, a commerçante de poisson at Bangassou, described the decline in efficiency: "Mon poisson du Mbomou, avant, arrivait à Bangui en deux jours par la route. Maintenant, il faut sept à huit jours. Quand il arrive, il est pourri. On le jette."
These logistical delays have contributed to a sharp rise in operating expenses for traders. The cost of transporting a single carton of fish along this route has doubled, increasing from 15,000 francs to 30,000 francs.
Public sector employees also encounter high costs associated with travel. Alphonse, an instituteur at Alindao, noted the financial burden of reaching the capital to access his earnings. 80 000 F pour aller toucher 180 000 F." This expenditure represents nearly half of his total salary.
Political debate regarding the government's performance continues to center on the composition of the cabinet, which includes 32 ministers, of whom only 5 are women. A Député de la majorité présidentielle defended the administration's progress during its initial period, stating: "100 jours, c’est rien.
